Graphic Design &
Electronic Publishing
The Graphic Design major develops the student's visual abilities and provides the mechanical background needed to prepare work for printed reproduction. Students learn how visual elements such as type, drawings and photography work together to make a design more effective. While operating under deadlines and following industry standards, students design, layout, and produce artwork for projects they will encounter on the job. By the end of the program, students will have developed a well-rounded, quality portfolio.

Electronic Publishing has exploded in recent years, with the dramatic improvements in desktop publishing technology. This major is designed not only for people planning to enter the electronic publishing field, but also for accomplished artists who need specific technical skills. Fully-equipped computer labs are used to give students experience designing, composing, and producing pages with the most current software available.
